Lynette and Karla are working on a “splice of life” web series as the logical next step to Driver’s Licence. In a quirky prairie town where funerals double as social outings, a group of seniors face modern life, aging, and community drama with wit, warmth, and casseroles.
This character-driven show is grounded in gentle absurdity, wry observations, and a deep love of rural community life. It’s an homage to Corner Gas, where in an ideal world, Eric Peterson’s Oscar character has a spin-off series featuring him and all his senior friends.
Lynette and Karla have two more short films they’re working on. One short is an historical look at a multigenerational attachment to a typewriter. The other film is a mental health short about the labels we subconsciously attach to ourselves and how those unkind words can impede our happiness.

In September of 2025, Lynette and Karla are premiering a new film called Fossil Record. It’s a family-friendly, fossilized farce of a short film that follows the SCTV (Saskatchewan Community Television) news team as they “mockument” the real life gathering of 4,000 inflatable dinosaurs in Dundurn, Saskatchewan setting a new world record. The film is a love letter to small towns, big egos, and even bigger dinosaurs.
